Protecting yourself from scams starts with staying informed.

Join the Sun City West Foundation in partnership with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for a FREE Consumer Scams presentation on Tuesday, July 7 from 10:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m.

During this informative session, representatives from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office will discuss:

- Common phone and computer scams
- Warning signs to watch for
- How to help better protect your personal information
- Practical steps to avoid fraud and deceptive tactics

Getting where you need to go should feel simple, accessible, and stress-free.

For many Sun City West residents, transportation plays an important role in having control over your schedule, staying connected to the community, and accessing everyday essentials like medical appointments, grocery stores, and local services.

The Ride Choice Program is a transportation service offered in partnership with Valley Metro that connects eligible residents to a network of local transportation providers. Participants can book rides through Ride Choice Dispatchers for rides on local transportation providers, including taxis, rideshares, and wheelchair-accessible services.

Applying for Ride Choice is free, and Valley Metro can provide free round-trip transportation to the Mobility Center for applicants residing in Maricopa County upon request.

Additional assistance is also available following each Find Your Ride Class through the Sun City West Foundation’s Find Your Ride Program, to help participants complete the ADA certification application used to determine Ride Choice eligibility. Please call the Find Your Ride Program helpline at 602-662-4260 Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. - noon with any questions.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave service members who gave their lives in service to our country.

Here in Sun City West, we are surrounded by individuals who understand the meaning of service, sacrifice, and patriotism.

Today, we remember the heroes who never came home, and we honor them by continuing to build a strong, caring community. Their sacrifice is the foundation of our freedom and a reminder to live with gratitude, purpose, and unity.
