YWCA of the Upper Lowlands The YWCA of the Upper Lowland, Inc. provides domestic violence services in Sumter, Lee, and Clarendon Counties. They come for job training and career counseling.

Individuals come to us in times of crisis, as survivors of rape or domestic violence. They come for childcare. They come for health and fitness. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives.

LEE COUNTY COUNCIL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS COALITION RECOGNIZE OCTOBER AS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
Members of the Lee County Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition attended Lee County Council’s Sept. 8 meeting where Council proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence Awareness Month is observed every October to raise awareness about domestic violence, support survivors, and unite communities in efforts to end abuse.
