⭐ SRE Families — We Need Your Help Supporting Our Stars! ⭐

Our Backpack Buddies program helps provide food for students to take home over weekends and school holidays. In previous years, we received food for this program through the Lowcountry Food Bank. Unfortunately, due to federal funding cuts, that support is no longer available to our school this year.

This is where we need the help of our SRE community! 💙💛

We are looking for local businesses, organizations, churches, and community partners who may be willing to donate food or partner with us to help keep our Backpack Buddies program going.

📣 Parents and families, you can help too! Please share this post and the attached flyer with local businesses and organizations you know. Even one new community connection could make a meaningful difference for our students!

The flyer includes a list of easy-to-open and easy-to-prepare food items that work well for the program.

We are excited to team up with our friends at Sangaree Intermediate for a Grandparents Breakfast on Saturday, September 12 from 9:00–11:00 a.m. in our shared cafeteria!

Come enjoy breakfast with your favorite Stars and Patriots, then stick around for crafts, board games, and some special time together! ❤️

🥞 Adults: $10
⭐ SRE & SRI Students: FREE
📅 Registration & payment due: September 2

If you have students at both schools, you only need to register and pay at ONE school.

⏰ Testing begins at 8:00 AM, so please make sure your child arrives at school on time, rested, and ready to show what they know!

Remind your Star that they don't have to know every answer. We simply want them to take their time, stay focused, and DO THEIR BEST! 💪

🚗🌟 IMPORTANT CAR RIDER UPDATE & CORRECTION 🌟🚗

SRE Families, please review the updated arrival and dismissal maps below. A couple of important updates:

➡️ CORRECTION: Our previous communication contained a typo. NO LEFT TURNS will be permitted when exiting the side car rider loop, just like the front car rider loop. We apologize for any confusion!

➡️ NEW: Families with students at both SRE and SRI may now drop ALL students off at SRE in the morning. SRI students will walk through SRE to the cafeteria, where they may eat breakfast or continue to SRI using the bus loop walkway.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continue working to make arrival and dismissal safer and more efficient! 🌟

🍩 DONUT DAY | SEPTEMBER 4
Donuts are just $1 each and will be available from 6:50–7:15 a.m. in the cafeteria! Bring $1 that morning or preorder using the QR code on the flyer. Preorders end September 3.

👕 NEW SRE SPIRIT SHIRTS | $15
Our new SRE Stars shirts are available for preorder in youth AND adult sizes! Scan the QR code on the flyer to order yours by Sunday, September 13.
