The temporary traffic signal at Village Ponds Drive is now operational. Please use caution in this area.

The intent is for the traffic signal to remain in place until the Linger Longer Drive Extension project is completed and open to traffic. Both of these projects are provided through funding from the Dorchester County Transportation Sales Tax Program.

Yesterday, Libby and I voted early at the Marcia O’Brien Conference Center next to Memorial Stadium.

Don’t wait until the last minute—early voting is open through Saturday, November 2 - except for Sunday!

🚦 The Ponds is getting a traffic light! 🚦

Before I was on County Council and when The Ponds was first approved, DOT said the neighborhood would never get a traffic light due to spacing from other intersections. However, the number of accidents has recently risen, pushing forward the need for a safer intersection. We’ve secured permission to add a temporary traffic light until a permanent solution is in place.

Rest assured, we’re committed to addressing the neighborhood's long-term transportation needs while implementing this temporary solution.
