Our Marketing & Development Manager, Brandon, recently stopped by Edisto Coffee to try one of their new Butter Pecan Lattes — and it did not disappoint!
We love coffee, but we love supporting our local community even more. Visiting local coffee shops gives us the chance to connect, discover new favorites, and celebrate the amazing businesses that help make our community special.
Which coffee shop should we visit next?

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who have shared their wisdom, love, and support throughout the generations. Your stories, sacrifices, and the impact you’ve made on your families and communities are truly appreciated.
Thank you for the guidance, kindness, and memories you continue to create. Wishing all the dads in our community a wonderful Father’s Day filled with love, laughter, and appreciation!

We’re Honored to Share!

Dorchester Seniors, Inc. is excited to announce that our Executive Director, LaQuinta M West, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Summerville Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Council Meeting on June 18.

LaQuinta along with Communications & Development Director, Brandon Lorick will discuss the growing needs of our aging population, the importance of collaboration among nonprofit organizations, and how strategic partnerships have helped expand the reach and impact of services for older adults throughout Dorchester County.

As our community continues to grow, so does the need to ensure seniors have access to nutrition, transportation, wellness programs, social engagement, and support services that allow them to age with dignity and independence.

We invite fellow nonprofit professionals, community leaders, and advocates to join the conversation as we explore opportunities to work together to strengthen support systems across our region.

In just three days, our incredible team of staff and volunteers worked together to distribute 1,100 Farmers Market vouchers to seniors throughout our community! We are so grateful for their hard work, dedication, and servant hearts. Their teamwork helped ensure these valuable vouchers reached those who need them most.

At this time, all available vouchers have been distributed. However, if additional vouchers become available, we are creating a waitlist. Please call our Saint George or Summerville locations to have your name added. While we cannot guarantee additional vouchers will be received, we will contact individuals on the waitlist if more become available.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this program such a success!
