Mrs. Laird and Mrs. Pate's pre-K class enjoyed celebrating National Teddy Bear Day today! Our students made teddy bear puppets, sorted and counted gummy bears by color, enjoyed a special Teddy Grahams snack, and brought their favorite stuffed bears to celebrate with us! 🧸✨🤎

👵🏻👴🏽 We are looking forward to our annual Grandparent’s Day Parade at 8:45 on Friday, 9/11/26. Also, we are excited that the middle school will take part again in this annual event. 💙🐾💛

📣 A few very important notes about the parade route:

1. As we’ve done the last couple years, we will start behind the middle school and follow the same route we have the last couple years.

2. Please come through the back gate behind the middle school to the starting point around the corner of the back gym which will be marked by cones. Do not pass these cones until directed to do so. It is important that you do not enter these gates coming from Hardee’s/Hull Road as it will cause serious traffic issues.

3. It will start at the back of the middle school move in front of the middle school up to the elementary school and exit out to Main Street.

4. Participants should only go through the line once.

5. Please do not throw out candy and other items due to safety of our students.

Get your SES Bulldog gear for the 2026–2027 school year! 💙💛 The Bulldog Store will be open for orders Tuesday, August 25, through 12:00 PM on Friday, September 11. ⏰ No orders will be accepted after 12:00 PM on Friday, September 11.

📋 IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION:
• Order forms were sent home with students in attendance on Tuesday, August 25.
• Complete the order form in its entirety — including the student’s name, teacher & grade, shirt style, size, quantity, and payment type circled.
• Place your completed order form AND payment in an envelope for your student to give to their teacher.
• Payment MUST be included with your order form or your order will NOT be submitted.
• The shirt color shown with each design is the actual shirt color that will be used for that design.

It’s almost time for one of our favorite traditions at Sumiton Elementary School — our Annual Grandparents Day Parade! 🥳

⏰ 8:45 a.m.
📣 Parade route details will be posted soon!
🚨 Please do not throw candy due to safety concerns as some students have allergies and may run out in front of cars to get candy on the ground.

We are SO excited to celebrate the amazing grandparents who love, encourage, and spoil our Bulldogs! We’d love for ALL of our grandparents who can join us to be part of the fun! 🫶🏾

🎈 DECORATE & CELEBRATE! 🎈
Deck out your car, truck, motorcycle, ATV, or whatever you plan to parade in! Add balloons, signs, decorations, and special shout-outs to your favorite Bulldog grandchild! 🥰📣

But don’t feel like you have to decorate to participate! Simply show up, drive through, and wave — we’ll be just as excited to see you! 👋😊
