Murray County Conservation District

Murray County Conservation District We are a local unit of state government that provides services to land users. A board of five conservation district directors governs the conservation district.

The main goal of the district is to provide services to land users in protecting and conserving natural resources and to provide a link to state and federal conservation agencies and programs.

Due to elevated fire risk caused by high winds and dry conditions, a burn ban is now in effect for the City of Davis, Turner Falls Park, and Cross Bar Ranch from August 25 through August 31, 2026.

The Murray County Conservation District is seeking a qualified individual for District Manager. Applicants must have a working knowledge of general office procedures, computer software applications and bookkeeping. MCCD is looking for an outgoing, self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits - $3451.35 per month plus health insurance, retirement plan, vacation, and sick leave. Application period opens July 20, 2026 & closes July 31, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
