The Murray County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for a full time detention officer within the jail. Full time employment benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, holiday leave, paid employee health insurance and retirement. Applications may be picked up at the Murray County Sheriff's Office, 700 W 10th St. Sulphur, OK Monday-Friday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. Must be 18 years old, High School diploma or GED equivalent, NO felonies or crimes of moral turpitude convictions.

They broke into the old grow that is right as you get on Chickasaw Trail around 6:30 am Sunday morning 9/7. If you have any information please contact 580-622-3918 and dispatch can get you in touch with the deputy on this case.

If you have been approached by the individuals with IPad on scooters, the Sheriff’s Office has made contact and they appear to be a legit company. Please DO NOT call the emergency 911 line for these individuals, if you are not interested just don’t answer their knock or ask them to go away.

****Attention Sulphur Residents****

Please be on the lookout for one, possible two African-American males. One possibly wearing all black the other, possibly wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. Subjects are suspects in a ma*****na burglary in the early morning hours of today, unknown if the subjects are armed or not. Subjects could possibly be BAREFOOT suggested by evidence left on scene last seen in the area of east first and Oklahoma headed northbound on foot.

Please call 911 with any sightings or tips.
