Join us for a prairie restoration workshop and tour May 16th at Cooper WMA. We will cover restoration efforts from beginning to end and willing to answer questions you may have about your own property. Open to landowners, neighbors, and anyone else who would like to join. Soils, seeding, Rx fire, wildlife ag exemption, success, failures, past research, and all things outdoors. Text or call with questions or to RSVP. Eaglet is now moving around in the treetop. It’s amazing how quick they grow to near full size.

Eaglet is now roughly 11-12 weeks old and is fledging (preparing for first flight). We think it hatched first week of January and as you can see is healthy. It’s amazing how quick they grow to near full size. As always, view from the road only and allow eaglet to mature at its own pace.. Hopefully we will see first flight soon.🦅

In case you noticed TPWD conducted a prescribed fire last week on the area North of the dam. This management technique was used to remove brush and increase grassland openings.  this week‘s rain will promote new growth and improve habitat for many of our native wildlife species.
