Good Monday morning, Hopkins County area.......Happy Columbus Day!....clear skies, 73 degrees, and 11 mph winds from the SSW this morning, as I enjoy coffee on the deck and look toward the new work week......I hope many of you are enjoying the holiday and "sleeping in" this morning.....enjoy!.....Look for mostly sunny skies today, a very unseasonably hot 95 degrees for an afternoon high and 14 mph WSW winds.....things should begin to "cool-off" some as tonight's forecast calls for clearing skies, winds at 10 mph shifting to the NNW and an overnight low of 57 degrees!.....Tuesday calls for sunshine and 87 degrees for a high!.....Still no much needed rain in the forecast!.......A busy day here on Sunday with an early morning trip to Lake Fork to enjoy nature, back for church and then I spent a few minutes at an estate sale and enjoyed visiting with Linda and Pam.....then on to Pickton to meet with part of my Media-Technology Group...thanks Nina and Alli.....Next stop was taking engagement photos for Nicky and Megan.....and I thought I was about finished for the day.....dropped by to visit a few minutes with my mother and then got a fire call and before I could get finished with it, there was a shooting on Ingram Street in Sulphur Springs.....it was midnight before the fact were available......a long day!.....Today calls for "no holiday around here"........a number of events to cover, a trip to the office to work on some business related items, a meeting with my full Media-Technology Group, and hopefully a chance to "escape" down a country road or two, sometime!......This morning I was drawn to the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians.....chapter 5, verse 22 & 23......"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."......God wants us to develop and work toward a life full of these attributes.....this is living God's way and leads to an exuberant life, here on this earth and in the everlasting life ahead.....No, it's not always easy.....but it's the right thing to do!.....A life of compassion and forgiveness of others is God's way and I will add, the older I get the easier it is to see the beauty of God's plan!.....On this beautiful day that the Lord has created for us.....let's look to Him for the perfect plan and work toward being the kind of person he would have us to be!.......Happy Columbus Day!
