At approximately 1048 this morning JTVFD was dispatched to the 9900 blk N 500 W for smoke coming from a garage. While responding units were update that flames are showing and fire had spread to the house. Engine 7-1 upgraded the fire to a working incident and requested additional out of county mutual aid. Engine 7-1 marked on scene as first Engine and began an interior attack. The fire was marked under control in 45 minutes crew worked on scene for approximately 2.5 hours. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported.

Yesterday evening at approximately 5:50 JTVFD was requested to assist Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department in Madison County on a large woods fire. Grass 7-7 assisted approximately 150 other fighters already on scene from 4 counties. Grass 7-7 was released by command at at 2120.
