We're Hiring! Join the Team at Cooper State Park – South Sulphur Unit
Location: Near Sulphur Springs, TX
Position: Customer Service Rep
Salary: $18.71/hour with state benefits
Schedule: Full time, days off other than weekends.

Cooper State Park South Sulphur Unit is hiring a Customer Service Representative! This position provides entry-level customer service and clerical support, including tasks such as revenue collection, license and permit sales, and answering phones. It involves assisting with office and park store operations, maintaining park facilities, and providing information to visitors while adhering to agency regulations. This is a great entry level position to get experience at Texas State Parks and see if it is the career for you. We are hiring 2 CSRs from this job post.

• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

The Buggy Whip campground will be closed to a prescribed burn !

PARK ALERT - Cooper SP South Sulphur will be conducting a planned prescribed burn on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 and the Buggy Whip Equestrian trails will be closed all day. Coyote Run trail will remain open for hiking and biking on Tuesday. Possible burns on Wednesday (January 7, 2026) depending on conditions.

As the New Year draws near, kick it off by joining a Guided Hike! 1/1/26 @ 10 a.m. Meet at Buggy Whip trail head.

Update of trail conditions at Sam Houston State Parks . Richard Ravens Equestrian Trails had just been completed and ready to open before this happen . Will update when trails are open
