From MoDOT:

Overnight Closures Planned on Westbound I-44 at Route D in Franklin County Beginning April 6

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO. – Motorists who travel Interstate 44 in Franklin County should be aware of overnight closures on westbound Interstate 44 at Route D, scheduled by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). Work is scheduled to begin the night of April 6, 2026.

Crews will work overnight to repair a bridge girder damaged by an oversized load in 2025. Closures will occur during the following times:

Monday through Friday: 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
During most work nights, both westbound lanes of I-44 beneath the Route D bridge will be closed. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane then detoured up and over the exit ramps at Route D. As part of this repair, the Route D bridge over I-44 will also be closed overnight.

The City of Sullivan Electric Department has been working to minimize the impact of the upcoming Sho Me Power planned outage. The attached map shows current expectations: light blue areas are expected to be out, orange streets may be affected, and the rest of the city is not expected to be intentionally out of power. This reflects the City’s current plan and best available information.
