🦋 From Tiny Egg to Beautiful Butterfly! 🦋

Miller Ave. students started the school year with a fascinating look at the life cycle of the monarch butterfly! Students observed and learned about each stage—from the tiny egg, to the hungry caterpillar, the amazing chrysalis, and finally the beautiful butterfly.

To bring their learning to life, students created their own models of the monarch life cycle and used their creativity to paint colorful butterflies! 🎨🦋

What a beautiful way to kick off the school year with learning, creativity, and a little bit of nature! 🌿

☕🏴‍☠️ PERFECT ATTENDANCE IS BREWING! 🏴‍☠️☕

Garaway 7–12 is kicking off our Monthly Perfect Attendance Initiative, and we’re starting the school year with a great one!

Students in grades 7–12 who have perfect attendance for the month will be entered into a drawing for a prize. And thanks to our September sponsor, Starbucks, one lucky winner from each grade level will have something extra to look forward to! 🎉☕️

Miller Avenue Elementary is showing their love and support for Ms. Tina as she begins cancer treatments tomorrow. 💗 Today, students and staff wore pink to remind Tina that she is surrounded by love, strength, and an entire school cheering her on throughout her journey!

Ahoy, Garaway families! The heat has decided to keep testing our crew, so we’re changing course once again. Garaway will have a 2-hour early release tomorrow, September 3. Students who ride the bus to Buckeye Career Center will be transported on the 2-hour early release schedule as well. Students who drive themselves to Buckeye may remain for the full school day. Stay cool, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️☀️

Garaway Local Schools will have a 2-hour early release tomorrow, September 2, due to the extreme heat in our buildings. Students who ride the bus to Buckeye Career Center, will be transported on the 2-hour early release schedule as well, those who drive can stay the full day. Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our students safe.
