Fort Bend County Libraries' University Branch Library opened in November 2011, on the University of Houston-Victoria campus in Sugar Land. Built in partnership with the University of Houston– Victoria and Wharton County Junior College, the University Branch is the second joint-use facility in the Fort Bend County library system. We will have LEGOs, K'nex, wooden blocks, straws & connectors, and lots of other building materials out for you to build with! Participants can choose to free build or complete a challenge card! This program is for families with children of all ages. Materials for this program were provided by the Friends of the University Branch Library.

Families with children of all ages are invited to join us as we learn about amazing animals from The Creature Teacher! This interactive experience will give kids the chance to see incredible animals up close while learning fascinating facts about their habitats, behaviors, and unique adaptations.

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Fort Bend County Libraries' University Branch Library will host a special performance of "Polynesian Storytelling" today Saturday, May 30, beginning at 2:30 pm, in Meeting Room 1 of the library.

Shake your hips and move your feet, this is a Polynesian experience you won't want to miss! Our show features an eclectic range of traditional and non-traditional music, and dancing from the Pacific Islands. This journey through Polynesia includes fun-filled audience participation. Sharing the Aloha Spirit to those who love Hawaii and other islands — their land, people, and culture.This exciting FREE event is perfect for all ages!
