Fort Bend County of ABWA meets at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at the Ignite Business Lounge, 300 Promenade Way #200, Sugar Land, TX, 77478.

We were thrilled to meet with members of the communications team from the Fort Bend County - Office of County Judge Daniel Wong recently.

Our 2026 Top Ten Business Woman NaTasha Vaughn and President Wendy Bowser met with Jonatan Ramirez, Robert Eberle, PhD and Joshua Segura, and discussed how we could partner to create more visibility for our organization and everything we have to offer across the county.

From education to networking to leadership training and national recognition, ABWA offers it all.

Earlier this month, the Fort Bend County Chapter of ABWA gathered for our APEX Fiesta — an evening filled with great food, fellowship, and learning together! 🌮📚

Education is one of the four tenets of ABWA, and our online APEX Campus is one of the many added values of ABWA membership. Through APEX, members have access to courses and resources designed to help women grow personally and professionally.

In addition to starting a class that night, we also celebrated members who have already completed an APEX course this year. Congratulations to Tina Johnson, winner of our gift certificate drawing for participating members! 👏

We love seeing our members continue to invest in themselves and their future.

This month’s meeting was so meaningful! 🩷🩷

We took time to celebrate the incredible work of our Tea Party Committee by presenting each member with a commemorative memento as a small token of appreciation for all they poured into making our event such a success.

Because of the success of the tea and our fundraising efforts, we are also able to reimburse our Spring Conference attendees for a portion of their conference tuition — something we are so excited to do for our members!

We were honored to hear from Chris Noble of The Rose, who shared a powerful message about resilience, courage, and the strength of women who face difficult moments head-on and persevere.

She also highlighted the life-changing work The Rose is doing in our community by providing breast healthcare services for women in need. Each year, The Rose provides approximately 40,000 mammograms, including 6,000–8,000 for uninsured women. They also offer ultrasounds, biopsies, genetic testing, and so much more.

One powerful takeaway that resonated with many in the room:
✨ “Do what you fear most.” ✨

On Friday, Wendy Bowser officially submitted her application as our 2027 Top Ten Business Woman nominee! 💖 She now moves into the national judging process alongside ABWA sisters who qualify from across the country.

This is such an exciting accomplishment and a true reflection of her leadership, dedication, and service to Fort Bend County Chapter.
