We are deeply saddened to share that Mrs. Asfia Khanam, mother of Syed M Talut Sunan, passed away this morning, February 26, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. She was 73 years old.
ইন্না লিল্লাহে ওয়া ইন্না ইলাহে রাজেউন, إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return”.
After courageously battling cancer for almost two years, she departed this world with dignity and patience, embodying strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. Throughout her illness, she remained steadfast, trusting in Allah’s decree with remarkable sabr and grace.
She leaves behind three sons — Syed M Talut, Syed M Shamael, Syed M Muttakillah — and one daughter, Syeda Uruba, along with family and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
Known for her soft-spoken nature and immensely caring heart, she touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. She was a devoted mother whose love, duas, and sacrifices shaped the lives of her children and all who were blessed to know her.
Her namaz e janaza will be held today, Thursday, 02/26/2026, at Hamza Mosque after Juhur prayer (1 PM).
Burial after the janaza at ISGH, Waller.
We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, expands her grave, fills it with light, and grants her a place among the righteous in Jannatul Firdaus. May her grave be a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and may she be reunited with her loved ones under the shade of His Throne on the Day of Judgment.
