PTA Grandparents Day at White Oak Elementary School !

What a special day at White Oak! Our PTA was so excited to host Grandparents Day, welcoming grandparents and special guests to campus to enjoy lunch, spend time with their Longhorns, and make some wonderful memories together.

And because our White Oak community always shows up in a BIG way, we’re excited to share that Grandparents Day raised $1,430 for our 3D Printing Club! 🖨️✨ We can’t wait to see how these funds help our students create, explore, and bring their ideas to life.

A very special THANK YOU to Charis Rogers, our Grandparents Day PTA Committee Chair, for all of her hard work, organization, and dedication in making this event such a success! We appreciate you!

Thank you to all of the grandparents, special guests, staff, PTA volunteers, and families who helped make the day so memorable.

Grandparents Lunch is coming September 10th and 11th!

Get ready for an epic, joy-filled lunch with your grandkiddo(s)! We can’t wait to make some special memories with our White Oak grandparents and special guests!

Here’s what you need to know:

✅ $4.75 per person - cash for a delicious and nutritious lunch prepared by our cafeteria staff. Please use the RSVP link in the WOW newsletter.

✅ $5 family photo donation - cash or card for a special picture with your grandkiddo, plus a cookie and a keepsake keychain created by our very own White Oak 3-D Printing Club. All funds raised go right back to that club!

✅ Stay awhile! After lunch, head over to the Scholastic Book Fair and discover a new story to enjoy with your grandkid.

New this year! We’re making it a little easier to join us! Our front parking lot will be open, and guests with mobility needs may be dropped off in the bus lane while their driver parks in the front lot.

We’re looking forward to a day filled with smiles, memories, books, and lots of love!

Book Fair Volunteers Needed!
Our Book Fair is coming soon, and we need YOUR help to make it a success! This is a wonderful opportunity to support our students' love of reading while connecting with our school community.
We need volunteers for:
Set-Up – September 3rd Help us transform the media center and get everything ready for the fair!
Tear-Down – September 14th Help us pack up and return the media center to normal!
Book Fair Days – September 8th–11th
Assisting students as they browse and choose the perfect books
Running checkout and processing purchases
Restocking shelves and answering questions
Keeping things running smoothly throughout the day
