The Suffield Parks & Recreation Department is actively seeking Certified Lifeguards with Waterfront Certification to join our team this summer at Babbs Beach and Sunrise Park!

These positions play a vital role in ensuring our waterfronts remain safe, well-supervised, and enjoyable for residents and visitors throughout the summer season.

Babb’s Beach will be open on the weekends 11am-6pm starting May 31 with Gate Attendants. $20/non-resident vehicle.

Open 7 days/week (regular hours posted later) starting June 27 with Lifeguards & Gate Attendants.

Looking for a fun way to spend a spring afternoon outdoors? Join us for Picnic in the Park at Sunrise Park as we celebrate Connecticut Trails Day and America’s 250th Anniversary with the Trees for Suffield initiative on Saturday, June 6!

Enjoy an afternoon filled with nature-themed activities, beautiful trees, and time to relax and connect with friends and family. We’ll provide snacks, ice cream, drinks, and plenty of family fun! Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it.
