The Suffern Free Library will have a delayed opening today, Wednesday, January 5th due to poor road conditions. The library will open today at 12 PM.

The Suffern Free Library is now offering Assignment Assistant through our partnership with LearningExpress Library for young adults in high school and college. Teens who are having trouble with a homework assignment can now ask a question and get an answer from real teachers, professors, and other experts!

If you'd like to check out Assignment Assistant, go to the Students/Kids database on our library's website at https://guides.rcls.org/c.php?g=128579&p=841499. Pick Learning Express Library from the options and click on the green Login Outside Library to access the database from home. Once you register and sign in with Learning Express Library using your library card, the Assignment Assistant will appear as an option in LearningExpress Library.

Have you signed up for our SAT/ACT workshops yet? Professional tutor Trevor Hochman will be holding skills workshops over Zoom every Tuesday evening in December for high school students! Come pick up your free copy of October's teen book club books by registering at the adult reference desk. Our book club meetings this month will be on Monday, October 18th in the teen room: 7th-9th graders will be reading The Eye of Minds by James Dashner and meeting from 6-7 PM, while 10th-12th graders will be reading Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad by M.T. Anderson and meeting from 7:30-8:30 PM.

Our book club meetings this month will be on Monday, September 27th in the teen room: 7th-9th graders will be reading Popular: A Memoir by Maya van Wagenen and meeting from 6-7 PM, while 10th-12th graders will be reading Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and meeting from 7:30-8:30 PM.
