He attended Tufts University and Suffolk University Law School. After graduating, he worked as a paralegal in the Office of Finance at the Department of Public Welfare. Carmine then became the first Director of the Estate Recovery Program for the Commonwealth where he increased collections by 150% in 18 months. In 1984, Carmine entered private practice as an associate at a private law firm in Fram
ingham. Carmine opened his own law firm, Law Office of Carmine L. Gentile, in Framingham, in 1990. He has represented children, parents, small businesses and has regularly provided free legal services over the years for adults and children in need. This work experience has given Carmine an understanding of a wide variety of challenges faced by residents and businesses. Carmine has been heavily active in the community. He has a deep understanding of municipal budgets and the impact of state legislation on our communities. As Vice-Chairman of the Sudbury Democratic Town Committee, Carmine has encouraged residents to get involved in political life and has worked hard to support independent leadership such as Deval Patrick, Elizabeth Warren and Tom Conroy. He has also served as a soccer coach, Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 63, president of the Sudbury Rotary Club, a member of the Finance Committee, Board of Registers and the Planning Board. Currently, Carmine is a member of the Council on Aging and serves as an Assistant Scout Master and High Adventure Coordinator for Boy Scout Troop 63. Carmine and his wife, Linda, are longtime Sudbury residents. “I have learned a lot about what is important in the 13th Middlesex District by working alongside you in community groups, participating on town boards and listening to your concerns,” says Carmine Gentile. “I believe in government that is accessible and responsive and will work hard over the coming months to earn your vote.”
