What a great way to kick off the start of the summer ☀️ season! Memorial Day Weekend sure was busy but full of fun! We enjoyed crafting, meeting Abe Lincoln, learning about different mammals, including a sloth 🦥, and enjoyed the nice weather too!
This is just the start of an exciting season ahead. Be sure to keep an eye out on the Nature Center page and Woodhaven Leisure Times to stay up to date on all that’s going on at the Nature Center this season!

It’s Memorial Day weekend at the Nature Center and our Farmers Market is here for you! We’ve got so many goodies including kettle corn, plants, mushrooms, popsicles, meats, desserts, and more. Stop by Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 9am-3pm to pick up some treats and be sure to enter our Farmers Market basket raffle.

Want to get the best out of Memorial Day weekend at the Nature Center? Here are a few tips from our staff. As always, if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below or message us.
1) Check the Leisure Times to confirm program times when planning your day.
2) Arrive early. All programs will begin promptly at their scheduled time.
3) If our main parking lot full, please use the lakeview building or lakeview overflow parking lots. Be sure you park in designated parking areas only. Take a look at the picture below to help.
4) Always have extra chairs or lawn blankets. Although we provide chairs for most programs, it’s a good idea to bring your own in case there aren’t available seats when you arrive.

The exhibit fairy has been busy, and decided it was finally time to grant one more sneak peek before the big weekend! 🧚✨

We’ve been working behind the scenes to get everything perfect, and we couldn’t resist sharing a little glimpse of the brand-new updates, fresh displays, and exciting changes waiting for you inside the Nature Center.

Keep the wildlife excitement going this weekend with our Family Craft: Paper Sloth Wall Hanging! 🦥🌿 After getting the chance to see a real live sloth on Saturday night, join us on Sunday morning to create this adorable tree-hanging keepsake. It’s a wonderful, relaxing project to make with your family or on your own.
