A quick Saturday update for our weekend visitors! 📢🌧️ Don't let the rainy forecast ruin your Saturday! We have made some changes to our plans and hope you join us. Bring the whole family out to the Lakeview Building on Saturday, August 1st from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM to make fun Nature Puppets for a cozy rainy-day show. Due to the predicted rain, some of our Farmers Market vendors won't be set up on Saturday, August 1st, but they plan to return on Sunday, August 2nd! Make sure to still stop by the Nature Center on Saturday to enjoy our indoor activities, support the brave vendors who are out in the rain, and enter the Farmers Market Basket Giveaway! 🧺✨

Want to get the best out of Main Event weekend at the Nature Center? Here are a few tips from our staff. As always, if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below or message us.

1) Check the Leisure Times to confirm program times when planning your day.
2) Arrive early. All programs will begin promptly at their scheduled time.
3) If our main parking lot full, please use the lakeview building or lakeview overflow parking lots. Be sure you park in designated parking areas only. Take a look at the picture below to help.
4) Always have extra chairs or lawn blankets. Although we provide chairs for most programs, it’s a good idea to bring your own in case there aren’t available seats when you arrive.

Weather update! 🌧️➡️☀️ We are shifting gears for the weekend! To keep everyone dry and safe, the Chainsaw Woodcarving Demonstrations are moving to Sunday, August 2 from 9:00AM – 4:00PM at the Nature Center Pavilion.

Come watch raw logs get transformed into amazing art! Remember to pack your own chairs or blankets to enjoy the demonstration comfortably. See you there! 🪚🪵✨

If you find the blue-tagged catfish, make sure to bring to the Tackle Box to redeem your prize!

Beat the heat with a cool eco-friendly craft! 📢🌵 Tumble on over to the Nature Center on August 1st & 2nd to create your very own TP Tube Cactus Garden!

Using TP tubes, egg cartons, and a little creativity, you'll get to craft a trio of cute, cheerful cacti to take home.🏜️👀
