May 25, 2026 is Memorial Day this year.
It's NOT a day to thank the Military.
It's NOT a day to say, "Have a happy Memorial day."
It's NOT just an extra day off work or school.
It's NOT just a day to have a big family or neighborhood party.
So, what IS Memorial day?
It's a day of somber remembrance for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
It's a day to thank someone who has lost a loved one while serving in the Military.
It's a somber day, to visit cemeteries and lay flowers on grave sites.
It's a sad day for Gold Star families, because we see so much celebration and happiness, and not enough remembrance.
Please...REMEMBER THE FALLEN this weekend.
STOP before saying "Have a happy Memorial day." to someone on Monday.
STOP and reflect on those whose lives were cut short, so you could have this "extra day off" to celebrate.
STOP and say thank you to someone if you know they're a Gold Star family member. May 25, 2026 is Memorial Day this year.

With a heavy heart and deep sadness, our Senior Vice President has passed.
Rick LaCrosse, you will be missed by all who’s lives you touched.
A great friend and a huge asset to our Auxiliary and the Community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandy and family.
