Newspaper article from the Sturgis Journal. My mother, Gladys (Kanouse) Johnston lived across the street at 112 S. Centerville when it was being built and was the first person to skate there! Johnny Hostetler (owner) borrowed my grandpa Morse Kanouse's cement mixer to lay the blocks.
