On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Neighbor to Neighbor will be holding a giveaway of some items of medical equipment to Door County Community members in need of permanent use or long-term use of the equipment. This DOES NOT include our regular stock of items; ONLY the items that are in our giveaway section. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. Come to the Neighbor to Neighbor Sturgeon Bay equipment facility located at 1610 Georgia Street, in the basement of one of the Cherry Cove Assisted Living Facilities, on the listed date/time. The door to enter is located on the left side of the building - there will be a gravel driveway that goes up a hill to a basement door. That is the door you must enter! Do not go to any other door! Feel free to share this post to help us spread the word.

The Maplewood Catholic Financial Life Team of Volunteers were presented with the "Star Volunteers" Award at the Neighbor to Neighbor Annual Meeting. Shown in the picture, from left to right, are Dianne Uecker, Dolores Krueger, Suzi Lasee O'Hern, with Maplewood Catholic Financial Life Team of Volunteers, and Ann Bennett, director of Neighbor to Neighbor. We thank them for their many years of volunteer service with preparing our Stay-at-Home Ball annual campaign.

The Neighbor to Neighbor Office will be closed on Friday, September 4, 2026, as I will be taking a vacation day. The equipment facilities will be available by appointment. For an appointment at the Sturgeon Bay equipment facility on Friday morning, please call Terri at 920.493.0777 and on Friday afternoon, please call Kathie at 920.493.0228. For an appointment at the Northern Door equipment facility on Friday afternoon, please call Sheila at 920.839.5045. The Neighbor to Neighbor office and equipment facilities will be closed on the weekend, as usual, and on Monday, September 7, 2026 for the Labor Day holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

We can finally share the good news with you! We have known about this since Memorial Day, but were unable to share it with you until it was officially announced by the Green Bay Packers and Thrivent. Neighbor to Neighbor is being honored as a "Game Changing Player" by the Green Bay Packers and Thrivent at the Sunday, October 18, Packers game at Lambeau Field. The link above will tell you all about it. Video footage of our medical equipment loan program facility in Sturgeon Bay and details about our program will be featured at this game. We feel so honored by this! If you go to the game, watch for our information. This is so exciting for our organization, our volunteers, and the Door County Community we serve!!!! We thank the Green Bay Packers and Thrivent!!!

The Neighbor to Neighbor Office will be closed on Friday, August 21, and Monday, August 24, as I will be taking a couple vacation days. The equipment facilities WILL be available on Friday and Monday, as usual. Call the office at 920.743.7800 to get the information for the volunteers on call and their contact numbers. Neighbor to Neighbor will celebrate their organization's achievements at their annual meeting on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Meeting Rooms at Community Foundation Square in the Rock Island Room, 222 N. 3rd Avenue, in Sturgeon Bay. If interested in attending the annual meeting, please contact the Neighbor to Neighbor office at 920.743.7800. The agenda includes program and agency updates, the financial report, election of board members, and volunteer awards. The regular monthly board meeting will immediately follow the annual meeting.
