Everyone is invited to join us for a special 9/11 memorial ceremony Friday, September 11; 7:00pm at Peter and Julie Cummings Library in Palm City (this will be an outdoor event). Hosted by Martin County Board of County Commissioners

We remember. We honor. We come together.

Join us for Martin County’s 9/11 Memorial Tribute Ceremony on Friday, September 11 at 7 p.m. at the Peter and Julie Cummings Library in Palm City.

Through a wreath-laying ceremony, candle lighting, bagpipers and guest speakers, we’ll pause together to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who responded, and reflect on the spirit of unity that followed.

Teacher, businesswoman, civic leader, and trailblazer: Clara Augusta Bailey Stypmann (1874-1968) wore many hats! 👒

After arriving in Stuart in 1890 as a teacher, she went on to chair the Palm Beach County Board of Public Instruction, help operate the Augustin Hotel in West Palm Beach, and leave a lasting mark on Stuart through the Stypmann subdivision and Stypmann Park Addition.
