he Kitchen Pickers came to play for us this past week, and they’re always one of the residents’ favorite groups to hear 🎶 They have a way of pulling everyone in and keeping things fun without even trying. We’re lucky they come to see us—and sure enough, it didn’t take long before the question started up again… “When are they coming back?” 😄

ast week brought a sweet little surprise—ice cream! 🍦 Nothing gets everyone smiling faster than an unexpected treat. Around here, it proved one very important thing: you never quite know when ice cream (or a snack!) might show up… but when it does, we’re always ready!

There have been a few “hit or miss” moments while everyone figures out their throwing style to hit the dartboard 😂🎯 But once they find their groove—watch out, bullseyes start showing up! Some have definitely been sharpening their skills, while others are still keeping things entertaining for the crowd. Either way, it’s all part of the fun, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Our residents have been putting their new dart game to good use this past month, and it’s quickly become one of their favorite games. Some are getting impressively good, while others… well, we’re still keeping them safely away from any windows just in case 😄 Whether they’re throwing or cheering each other on, everyone’s having a great time, and plenty are determined to figure out that “perfect” throw. With this much fun, dart day has officially earned a spot as a weekly favorite!

To celebrate National Iced Tea Day, we kept things cool and refreshing with iced tea and lemonade out in the courtyard! The residents always love a chance to soak up some sunshine, enjoy the fresh air, and sip on something sweet. Nothing says summer like good company, a warm breeze, and a cold drink in hand!

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated group of volunteers who somehow make sure our Sundays are always covered—whether it’s for church services or a little uplifting singing.
Recently, one of our longtime ministers moved on to a new job, and while we’ll certainly miss them, we’re so grateful that Chaplain Carlen stepped right in to take over the first Sunday of each month.
It truly takes a special group of people to make this kind of consistency happen, and we can’t thank our volunteers enough for making sure our residents never miss out on Sunday services. ❤️

Ronnie Hall stopped by for his monthly visit to play for us, and as always, his biggest fan—his mother—was front and center and loving every minute of it. 🎶 Residents always enjoy when Ronnie comes to play, and it didn’t take long before people were asking when he’ll be back again. A few even kindly let him know that if he felt like staying longer and playing a little extra, they would definitely be okay with that—no pressure, Ronnie 😄
