🏛️They learned a lot, experienced city life and mastered the Metro just in time to make the trek home!

🤗Many thanks to Mr. Weiss for organizing this trip along with outstanding chaperones Mr. Skoug, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Onstad, Ms. Douglas, Dwight and Jackie for helping make this trip a success.

🏛️Day 4 D.C. trip:

They started the day with a walking tour, which included the White House and the National Mall.

After lunch, students went through the Holocaust Memorial Museum, where they met a Holocaust survivor, before heading to the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights.

They wrapped up their day with an Italian Dinner at Carmine’s and short walk to Ford’s Theater.

🏛️Day 3 D.C. Trip:

They began their day with a tour of the Capitol and Library of Congress with a look at the Supreme Court, followed by lunch at We, The Pizza on Capitol Hill.

The afternoon was spent at the International Spy Museum, where students completed a workshop on forensic evidence before completing their spy mission as they went through the museum.

They wrapped up their day at the Jefferson Memorial. Some students went to U.S.Naval Band and Choir concert at the Navy Memorial in the evening.

We are excited to share photos from the construction of our new outdoor classroom! 🌿☀️📸

Made possible through a generous grant from the Whole Kids Garden Foundation, this space is designed to provide students with a unique outdoor learning environment.

A special thank you to our Cardinal Manufacturing students, Brock, Trevor, and Colin, along with Mr. Rohrsheib, who spent time in the heat building tables, installing a whiteboard, and pouring concrete to bring this project to life. 🔨🪚🧰👏

🌞📚✨We appreciate their hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing students learn, collaborate, and grow in this new space for years to come!

🏛️D.C Trip Day 2:

🇺🇸The day began at Arlington National Cemetery, where students watched the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. They also visited the Kennedy gravesite and the John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame.

💵After lunch, students toured the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, where money is printed (no photos allowed there). Ms. Douglas gave students a lesson on rapid shoe-tying. They also played a quick game of footbag.

They finished out the day at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, followed by dinner at Union Station and pool time at the hotel.

The #3 Eleva-Strum Cardinals continue their postseason journey today as they take on the #8 Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates in the WIAA Sectional Semifinal!

🏛️7th & 8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip: Day 1

Our group of 31 students and 7 chaperones departed school at 4:30 a.m. and arrived in D.C. at noon. After lunch and learning how to use the Metro, students visited the Smithsonian National Museum of American History or the National Air and Space Museum followed by the Pentagon Memorial.

A great first day of learning and exploring in our nation's capital! 🇺🇸✨

⛳️🏆 STATE GOLF IS HERE! 🏆⛳️

Today, the Eleva-Strum Cardinals Golf Team begins its journey at the WIAA State Golf Championships!

📍 Location: University Ridge Golf Course – Madison, WI
📅 Dates: June 8–9, 2026
🏌️ Format: 36-hole stroke play (18 holes each day)

Day 1 – Monday, June 8
⏰ Divisions 2 & 3 begin play at Noon

Day 2 – Tuesday, June 9
⏰ Divisions 2 & 3 resume play at 7:00 AM
🏅 Awards to follow the completion of competition
