Yesterday, community members, veterans, and local leaders gathered in Stroudsburg for the official ribbon cutting of the Women’s Veterans Museum.
This important occasion marked the opening of a space dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories, experiences, and contributions of the women who have proudly served our country.
The Women’s Veterans Museum stands as a meaningful tribute to generations of women veterans and helps ensure that their service, sacrifice, and legacy will continue to be recognized and remembered.
Congratulations to everyone whose dedication and hard work helped make this vision a reality. 🇺🇸And congratulations to Sergeant Major Claudette Williams!

Yesterday was the soft opening of the Women Veterans Museum, the only one of its kind, in its new location in courthouse square in Stroudsburg. The museum was founded by Claudette Williams, a retired United States Army Sergeant Major and thirty year Army Veteran whose distinguished military service and commitment to her fellow veterans inspired the creation of a place where women from every branch, background and level of service can have their stories honored. The museum also works to connect women veterans with resources and support as they transition from military to civilian life. Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing place and stroll through the rooms. The history is everywhere. Thank you to all of the supporters who also helped make this a reality!

📣 LSA STATEWIDE GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

The 2026 Local Share Account (LSA) Statewide Grant Program application period is officially open!

This is an important funding opportunity for eligible municipalities, authorities and nonprofit organizations looking to invest in projects that strengthen our communities and improve quality of life.

Funding may be used for eligible projects including construction and renovations, infrastructure improvements, property acquisition, vehicles, machinery and equipment, and certain planning and engineering costs. Grant requests may be up to $1 million, with eligible projects requiring a total project cost of at least $25,000.

For Monroe County nonprofits applying through the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority (MCIDA), please note that MCIDA has established an earlier local deadline:

📅 MCIDA Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
⚠️ MCIDA states that no applications will be accepted after this deadline.

Bringing state dollars back home to support our municipalities, first responders and community organizations remains one of my top priorities.
