***Missing Person***
The Strongsville Police Department is investigating the disappearance of a 35-year-old female, Kaitlin M. Grazulis. She was last seen in the area of Brookfield Avenue / West 130th Street and 12000 Wanda Avenue (Bellaire Garden Estates B) in Cleveland. Kaitlin also goes by “Russia,” “Sam,” and “Sammie.” She is entered as a missing person. Please join us this evening for a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on the Commons, recalling the victims and the heroes of the terrorist attacks that took place 25 years ago today.

The ceremony runs 6 to 7 p.m., with the formal program starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will include music by the Strongsville Community Band, the Strongsville safety forces honor guard, a r***e salute, tolling of the bell, laying of the wreath, a Life Flight flyover, the playing of 'Taps' on bugle and 'Amazing Grace' on bagpipes.

Here is the video from yesterday's pursuit of a stolen car and the resulting crash. Leah Yvonne Stewart was charged with OVI, 2 counts of assault, Failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, open container, drug paraphernalia, failure to obey traffic control devices, display of plates, and operation in willful or wanton disregard of the safety of persons or property.

On Tuesday 09/08/2026 at approximately 11:15 am, Strongsville Police located a reported stolen vehicle on Pearl Road in the area of Whitney Road. Strongsville Police were advised that the stolen vehicle was involved in a pursuit earlier this morning with the North Olmsted Police Department. The stolen vehicle pulled into the Kings Inn, where an officer attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle struck a Strongsville police cruiser and fled northbound on Pearl Road. A Strongsville officer and a trooper from the Ohio State Highway Patrol began to pursue. The stolen vehicle ran a red light and struck an uninvolved vehicle that was turning onto Pearl Road from 8300 Pearl Rd. The crash caused the stolen vehicle to strike a utility pole and roll over. Sixty-year-old Leah Yvonne Stewart was the sole occupant of the stolen vehicle. She was transported to Southwest General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Criminal charges will be filed when she is released from the hospital. The occupant of the uninvolved vehicle reported no injuries at the time of this incident. We are continuing to investigate this incident.
