We are excited to announce two new additions to the Streetsboro PD team. Please join us in welcoming Officer Nicholas Ifft and Officer Isaac Kinaitis to the City of Streetsboro.

Both officers are beginning their careers in law enforcement and have recently joined our department. After completing the Ohio Basic Police Officer Academy, both have already started the intensive field training program and will spend the coming months learning, growing, and preparing to serve the Streetsboro community.

We are proud to have them joining our department and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in their careers. If you see them around town, be sure to say hello and help us give them a warm Streetsboro welcome!

Be ready for some changes at the SR 14 and SR 43 intersection. ODOT is planning the lane shifts for tonight, May 27. And still, the only left turn allowed is from SR 43 northbound to SR 14 westbound. Use caution around the workers and be prepared for the change.

***Update 5/28/2026 5pm***
On 5/27/2026 at approximately 12:47pm, a 43-year-old male driver from Ravenna was traveling east on SR 14 in a 2025 black Chevrolet Blazer. The 2023 Dodge Ram cargo van was traveling west on SR 14 driven by a 24-year-old male from Willoughby. In the area just east of the Lake Rockwell bridge, the Blazer crossed the double yellow line, going left of center and striking the Ram van head-on. Both drivers suffered significant injuries and were transported for medical treatment. They remain under medical care. Both vehicles suffered serious damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Due to the extensive injuries and damage, the Summit Metro Crash Response Team was called in to assist with the investigation. The multi-jurisdictional team brings expertise and equipment that would otherwise not be available to the City of Streetsboro. Streetsboro Police Department has been a member of the crash team for many years, and we appreciate their rapid response and thorough investigations. At this time, the crash remains under investigation as the Summit Metro Crash Response Team completes their analysis. We will update further as information becomes available.
*Update 5:15pm- SR 14 is now open.

Today at 12:51pm Streetsboro Police and Fire responded to a collision between two vehicles on SR 14 just west of the Lake Rockwell Bridge. Two persons were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. SR 14 remains closed while Streetsboro Police and the Summit Metro Crash Response Team investigate the cause of the crash.

We are extending our application window for full-time Dispatch, and have some important advice: call taking info is entered into the computer which means typing (not texting), so the two-finger, hunt and peck isn't fast enough. There are dozens of FREE practice typing tests available online (hint hint!) to take advantage of.

If you can type, think fast, and know that "it's quiet" are two words that should never be spoken out loud? You might fit right in.

This job takes focus, professionalism, multitasking, and the ability to keep things moving when seconds matter. It’s challenging, rewarding, and no two shifts are ever the same.

Application window extended to June 5, 2026 and check out the flyer for all requirements and testing information.

🚨 We’re hiring! Lateral transfer or New Hire 🚨
Can stay calm when the phones are ringing, the radios are talking, and everyone suddenly needs something right now?

Police Week, May 10-16, 2026, is a time to honor those who served, remember those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, and recognize those law enforcement professionals who continue to stand watch. We’re proud to be a part of the Streetsboro community and grateful for their trust and support of our department.

A few things happen when you visit +20 lemonade stands on Streetsboro's Lemonade Day 2026. First, you get a chief that demands pictures. Second, you get a medically unnecessary level of lemonade in your bloodstream. Third, you start questioning your life choices when you decided to visit ALL of the lemonade stands. A huge shoutout to Officer Bartholomew for visiting, yes, every lemonade stand this past Saturday. The fun and educational event gives students the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, money management, teamwork, and customer service.

So, some of you have noticed what looks like we are going backwards in the construction project at SR 14 and SR 43. Yes, some of the new concrete is being removed.
The problem - cracks in the concrete (it happens.)
The fix - remove/ replace the affected areas (so much extra work.)
The result - a finished product done right (as expected.)
The good news - project completion for SR 14 and SR 43 is still on track to be done within the original 100 days.
