The Agenda for the ANNUAL TOWN MEETING has been adopted by the township board members.
The date set for the meeting is April 14th @ 6:01pm
The meeting will be held at the Town Hall at 1607 E main St. Streator.
The purpose of the Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for the electors to interact with their elected township officials.

Motion to close nominations and second
Vote for Moderator if more than one is nominated

Resolution No. 1-2026. A resolution approving the transfer of surplus General Town Funds to the Township Road District General Road Fund

Resolution No. 2-2026. A resolution delegating authority to the Otter Creek Township Board and Highway Commissioner to Purchase, sell, and lease real and personal property, including Road District personal property.
Resolution No. 3-2026 to set date for Annual Meeting for April 13, 2027 @ 6:01pm

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for April 14th @6:01 PM.

Pursuant to 60 ILCS 1/30-10, March 1st will be the last day for any 15 or more registered voters in the township to request an agenda item for consideration by the electors at the Annual Meeting by giving written notice of a specific request to the township clerk. The Request can be mailed to PO Box 285, Streator IL 61364

The Annual Meeting Agenda shall be adopted at the March monthly meeting scheduled for March 9th and will be posted By March 30th

FYI. Road contractor will Seal Coating blacktop roads within the township Wednesday and Thursday. If you see them in action, please try to travel a different route if possible. Thank you for your patience as they perform this job

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

19th, 20th, and 21st roads will all be closed at the rail road tracks starting tomorrow 3/24 at 7 am for BNSF repairs. Should only be a couple days.

Independent Candidate Petitions

The Otter Creek Township Clerk will be available from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on Tuesday November 12, 2024 for Otter Creek Township residents to turn their Independent Candidate Petitions in for the April 2025 election.

If you are unable to meet the Otter Creek Township Clerk on November 12, 2024 between the hours of 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM please call Keady Boyles @ 815 674 7408 to set up a different time to meet. All petitions must be turned in no later then November 18, 2024.

Due to blowing snow and zero visibility our plows are shut down till morning. All north/south country roads are very bad or impassible. Plows will be back out at daybreak tomorrow.

I was informed today that road construction will begin on Highland Place Wednesday the 15th. They will be laying asphalt from Otter Creek Street to Martha Lane. This should be a 3-4 day project.
