The Village of Streamwood provides police, fire, and emergency medical services to its residents, businesses, and visitors through its public safety departments, including Police and Fire. The Village of Streamwood created this social media page so community members
could connect with the Village's Fire and Police Departments, and receive important and timely updates. The Village desires to promo

te an informative, respectful, and enjoyable online
experience for members of its social media community. The Village’s Public Safety social media page is intended to provide information for those interested in the Village and its related
services. While comments and interaction with the page are encouraged, this is a
moderated online discussion site and a limited public forum. The Village’s social media site(s) are not to be used for making an official report,
application, or request for service, including emergency service. There are many other alternatives for the public to contact the
Village, including through the Village’s website (www.streamwood.org), by telephone

not permit or allow copyright-infringing activities or infringement of intellectual
property rights on its social media site(s). It will remove any and all content and
submissions if properly notified that such content or submission infringes on
another’s intellectual property rights.
• Comments from children under 13 cannot be posted in order to comply with the
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. By posting on a Village media site, users
acknowledge that they are at least 13 years old. Parents are responsible for any
minor child’s posting or comments.
• Content that incites violence.
• Information that may tend to compromise or interfere with ongoing
investigations of law enforcement, police tactics, or the safety or security of the
public or public systems.
• Any action which disrupts the operation of service, including cyber-attacks.
• Content determined to be disturbing, inappropriate, in poor taste, or otherwise
contrary to the purposes of this forum. If a visitor violates the community guidelines, the Village may, but is not obligated, to
take any or all the following steps:
• Remove or hide the content.
• Terminate or block a visitor’s access to the Village’s page.
• Report visitor(s) to Facebook. Elected Village Officials, except for the Village President, are unable to post or respond
to items on the Village’s page to avoid conflict with the Open Meetings Act. If

UPDATE 3:35 PM: The Streamwood Police Department, with the assistance of several neighboring law enforcement agencies and the Search and Rescue Strike Team, has completed the search for Garrett Zyles.

The search involved multiple drones, canine teams, and our police officers working in and around the area of East Irving Park Road. We appreciate the support provided by our partner agencies and the community’s attention to this matter.

At this time, Garrett has not been located after he fled from a third-party ambulance provider. He is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis and is also wanted on a misdemeanor arrest warrant from LaSalle County. There is no further information indicating that Garrett is still in the area; however, if you do see him, do not approach, as he may respond in a confrontational manner. Please call or text 911 immediately.

Anyone with non-emergency information regarding his whereabouts may also contact the Streamwood Police Department at 630-736-3700 or the Confidential Tip Line at 630-736-3719.

MISSING PERSON ALERT: Streamwood Police Department is asking for assistance locating 32-year-old Garrett Zyles. Garrett ran away while being transported to the hospital on June 8, 2026. Garrett was last seen on June 9, 2026, at approximately 1800 hours in the 900 block of East Irving Park Rd. in Streamwood. Garrett is 6’02” approximately 165 lbs., with blonde hair and green eyes. The Department with the assistance of the Search and Rescue Strike Team will be conducting a search in the wooded area in the 900 block of Irving Park Rd. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Garrett Zyles is encouraged to call the Streamwood Police Department at 630-736-3700 or the Confidential Tip Line at 630-736-3719.
