Last Thursday, Strathmore High School proudly celebrated our annual Scholarship Awards Night, recognizing students for their hard work, dedication, and achievements as they prepare for their next chapter beyond high school.

We are incredibly grateful to our SHS Alumni, local community organizations, service clubs, families, and scholarship sponsors whose generosity continues to support and invest in the future of our students.

Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients — your commitment and perseverance have truly paid off! We are proud of you and excited to see all that you accomplish. Go Spartans!

Last Friday, Strathmore High School proudly celebrated our seniors during our College, Career, and Military Signing Day! We would like to congratulate all of the students committing to continue their education at a college, university, or trade school, as well as those who will be proudly serving our country through military enlistment.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students and excited to see them continue their journeys beyond SHS. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have led to this moment, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the future.

For the second year in a row, a Strathmore High School student has been awarded the Gates Scholarship. Taeghen Jensen was one of 750 students selected from a pool of over 61,000 applicants from across the nation. Teaghen will continue her education at Stetson University, majoring in Biology with a Minor in Anthropology. In addition to funding her undergraduate degree, the Gates Scholarship will provide Teaghen with opportunities to strengthen her leadership skills, prepare for professional life, and build a network of fellow Scholars. Congratulations, Teaghen we are extremely proud of you! Go Spartans!

Our SHS AVID students proudly volunteered at the annual Boys & Girls Club 5K Fun Run this past Saturday! 🏃‍♀️💙 Giving back to the community is something our students truly value, and this event was extra meaningful as we honored and remembered the late Mrs. Gail Grasmick. Her legacy continues to inspire us to serve, support, and show up for others.

Innovation was on the agenda last Friday! Our 10th-grade Emerging Agricultural Technology (EAT) students gathered for the annual Pathway Mentor Conference, where they gained valuable insights from a panel of industry leaders and guest speakers.

Strathmore High School students have been awarded the Phil Cox Award – Best Overall Project at the TCOE Step Up Youth Challenge Red Carpet Event!
Competing among over 25 schools, our students rose to the top with their powerful project:
“Step Up for Wellness: Removing the Stigma of Mental Health.”

This was more than a presentation—it was a movement. Through student voice, leadership, and courage, they brought awareness to mental health, supported their peers and families, and created meaningful change in our community.

This is the power of student voice. This is the impact of purpose-driven work.
