It was an honor to issue a proclamation at last night’s Town Council Meeting declaring September 2026 Dystonia Awareness Month in the Town of Stratford, in memory of Joanna Manusov, the beloved daughter of Len and Janice Nachbar.

Dystonia is a neurological condition that causes a person’s muscles to tighten or spasm, twisting the body into uncomfortable or painful positions the person cannot control. It's truly a horrid disease, and in honor of Joanna and everyone who has ever suffered from Dystonia, I call upon all residents to take a moment this month to recognize the severe impact of this disorder, support affected individuals, and join me in advocating for heightened awareness, advanced treatments, and a cure. I thank Len and Janice Nachbar for attending last night’s meeting and continuing to raise awareness in support of patient advocacy organizations such as the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation to help find a cure.

🚦 Have a traffic concern in Stratford? Let us know!

The Town of Stratford Police Department has contracted Urban SDK to help us better understand traffic conditions and address concerns throughout town.

Residents will be able to submit traffic complaints through a new online form. All traffic complaints will be routed through Urban SDK, where AI-assisted tools and automated processing will help our Traffic Division organize submissions, identify recurring concerns, and better understand traffic issues across Stratford.

Urban SDK also uses anonymous data from connected vehicles to analyze traffic speeds, delays, and vehicle counts. Together, these tools will help us evaluate concerns and make informed decisions about traffic safety.
