An exciting moment at our Quincy Street site in the Town of Fairfield!

A volunteer group from Fairfield Prep spent their Saturday helping move wall panels from our panel shop, delivering them to Quincy Street, and unloading and stacking them at the site.

Seeing the walls arrive is an exciting milestone. You can begin to imagine the houses that will stand on this empty site, which Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County families will someday call home!

Thank you to the Fairfield Prep volunteers for generously giving up your Saturday to work hard and help make affordable homeownership a reality for local families. We are grateful to have you building alongside us!

A new coat of paint can make such a big difference!

Today, volunteers from ASML spent their Build Day at our Jane Street site painting the interior and helping give the space a fresh new look for the Habitat CFC family who will soon call it home.

ASML continues to be an incredible partner in our mission, generously contributing their time and hard work on Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County build sites throughout the year. We’re grateful to today’s team for picking up their brushes and rollers and helping us move this home forward!

Thank you, ASML, for your continued commitment to affordable homeownership and to families in Coastal Fairfield County.

Sarah spent weeks trying to decide what to do about Jenna, her first car.

Jenna was a Toyota Prius that carried her to her first job at the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness and through a career spent working with communities across the country to end homelessness.

"Letting her go was breaking my heart. For weeks I couldn't decide what to do. And then someone mentioned maybe Jenna could keep going in the fight to house people."

That's why Sarah chose Habitat. Her donation supports Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County's work building and repairing homes in our community.

Thank you, Sarah. Jenna's still in the fight.

The team from Newtown Savings Bank was hard at work at our Jane Street site, helping us refurbish this Habitat CFC home for its new owners!

Volunteers installed foamboard panels and worked on doors and windows, tackling important projects that are helping prepare the home for the family who will soon call it their own.

We’re grateful to Newtown Savings Bank for donating their time and energy to Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County. We appreciate their partnership and commitment to helping local families achieve affordable homeownership. Thank you for being part of our mission!

Our Core ReStore Volunteers gathered today for our annual appreciation lunch!

Executive Director Ashley Volkens joined the group to personally thank them for all the time, energy and hard work they regularly contribute to Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County. Since the start of 2026, our Core ReStore Volunteers have donated nearly 750 hours to help keep our Stratford Habitat Restore running smoothly!

Their dedication makes a difference far beyond the ReStore. By helping us process donations, assist customers and keep our 45,000-square-foot store operating, these volunteers help generate critical funding for Habitat CFC’s affordable homeownership mission.

We are incredibly grateful for all they do to support our ReStore, our organization and local families working toward homeownership. Thank you, Core ReStore Volunteers!

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the hard work it takes to build a home.

Behind every foundation poured, nail hammered, and wall raised is a powerful partnership. Today, we honor the incredible dedication of our volunteers, who generously give their time, skills, and hard work to help local families build a better future.

We also want to recognize our hardworking Habitat CFC construction team, whose skill, planning and oversight keep our homes moving forward every day.

And we celebrate our homeowners, who work shoulder-to-shoulder alongside volunteers, investing hundreds of hours of partnership equity in building their own homes and the homes of other Habitat CFC families.

Through Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, affordable homeownership is made possible by working together. Thank you to everyone who picks up a hammer, lends a hand, and works with us to make homeownership a reality for more local families.

Happy Labor Day!
