As students from Strasburg-Franklin Local Schools head into summer break today, we want to wish everyone a fun, relaxing, and safe summer!
With more kids out enjoying the weather on electric scooters and electric bikes, we want to remind everyone:
**Always wear a helmet per Village Ordinance
**Obey all traffic laws and signals
**Stay alert and watch for vehicles and pedestrians

This Morning, Officer.Frame had the opportunity to participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Officer.Frame carried the “Flame of Hope” in support of the 2026 Special Olympics Ohio Summer Games, which is being held in Columbus from May 29th-31st.

✅ 12th Street NE is now OPEN to traffic.

Emergency responders have cleared the scene; however, please proceed with caution in the area. Columbia Gas crews will remain on site and continue working to repair the damaged gas line.

⚠️ UPDATE: Major gas line leak on 12th Street NE is now being addressed.Columbia Gas crews are on scene working to control and repair the leak.The line was reportedly struck by a utility company while attempting to replace a utility pole.All nearby businesses remain evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Nearby residences are confirmed safe at this time by the Strasburg Fire Department.

⚠️ ATTENTION: A major gas line leak has been reported on 12th Street NE.

All nearby businesses have been evacuated out of an abundance of caution.Police and Fire crews are on scene actively managing the situation. 12th Street is currently CLOSED to all traffic—please avoid the area and use alternate routes. Emergency responders are working quickly to secure the scene and ensure everyone’s safety.
