The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management has a message for you!

Several water rescues are underway this morning due to vehicles driving into flooded roadways.

When you see a flooded road, ALWAYS turn around and find an alternate route. It only takes six inches of water to stall a sedan or SUV.

A Flood Watch is in effect for Greene County until 10 AM Friday as rounds of rain are expected.

Be on the lookout for flooded roadways, and always turn around, don’t drown.
