On Wednesday we said farewell to Chief Sokolofski and watched Sgt Radswillas be sworn in as our new Chief of Police. Chief Sokolofski came to the department when it needed him the most, whipped it into shape and is handing Chief Radswillas a strong well-functioning pd. Chief Sokolofski will be missed but we are excited about the future and look forward to working under Chief Radswillas.

To the residents of West Pottsgrove Township:

Sergeant Robert J. Radswillas will be sworn in at tonight’s Township meeting. He will succeed me as Chief of Police, effective this Sunday, September 6.

It has been an honor to serve the residents of West Pottsgrove Township. Thank you for the support and respect you have extended to me over the past five years. I have had the privilege of assembling and leading an exceptional team of officers. They are dedicated, professional, and genuinely committed to the people they serve. Together, we have accomplished a great deal, and I am incredibly proud of the department we built.

While I may have had the opportunity to lead, the successes of the West Pottsgrove Township Police Department are the result of the hard work, professionalism, and commitment of the men and women who serve every day.

Sergeant Radswillas is accomplished and well-suited to carry the torch forward and to continue the tradition of service and protection you expect from your police department. I know you will afford him the same level of support and respect.

I will be at First Responders Night tomorrow as my tour of duty comes to an end. I’ll have a pocket full of challenge coins if any of you are up for it!

The department conducted a traffic detail on 422 this morning. 26 contacts were made resulting in 20 Citations: 18 Speeding, 1 Inspection, and 1 Obedience to Traffic Control Devices. 8 Written warnings were given.
The highest speed was 91mph.

Chief Sokolofski was ambushed this morning coming into the station! Two more challenge coins earned with push ups. We loved starting our day like this!

Along with West Pottsgrove Township we've decided to postpone First Responders Night due to the forecasted rain. The new date will be Thurs Sept 3rd. We hope to see you there!

Thanks again for another great community event last night with Kona. The kids made Chief Sokolofski work for the push up challenge- they did great. We hope to see everyone next week at First Responder Night at the township building complex!

We're getting ready to head out with the Kona truck. Chief Sokolofski has a bag full of Challenge Coins for any child that challenges him to a push up contest (till he runs out!). We'll see you out there!
