Thank you to everyone who came out for Kona night! We absolutely love this event and getting to connect with the community. If we missed anyone we sincerely apologize- our contract with Kona is only until 9pm and we were running a bit behind. Our next night is scheduled for August 11th and we’ll be getting some of the areas that weren’t on last nights map (Sylvan, Dori, Shane, Holly, Pulaski, Anthony Wayne- I’m looking at you!!).

The entire West Pottsgrove Police Department extends its sincerest condolences to Officer Yeagers family, friends and department.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

Sgt Radswillas and Officer Slavin really showed their bravery tonight while assisting Upper Pottsgrove on a critical call- stuck ducklings!! Hopefully they kept one- a station therapy duck perhaps!?

Pennsylvania's "Paul Miller’s Law" (Pennsylvania Title 75 § 3316.1) prohibits holding or using handheld, interactive mobile devices (phones, computers, GPS) while driving, including when stopped at red lights or signs.

Reminder: Effective June 5, 2026: It is a primary offense, allowing police to stop and cite driver drivers solely for this, with fines of $50 plus costs.

Pennsylvania Title 75 § 3316 prohibits using an interactive mobile device to send, read or write a text-based communication while the vehicle is in motion.

NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN
Please be aware that there is a new traffic pattern at Grosstown and Old Reading Pike. Traffic now stops on Old Reading Pike and DOES NOT STOP on Grosstown. There are no signs to warn of the new change- it's going to be a rough transition.

West Pottsgrove Township has no say in if it is a 2 way stop, a 4 way stop, or a no stop free for all.
