Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 1-145th Armor is a 230-Citizen-Soldier unit that provides headquarters, staff, medical, mortar, reconnaissance, indirect fire, communications, and sniper capabilities to a 900-Citizen-Soldier armored and mechanized infantry combined arms battalion. HHC 1-145th can trace its history back to 1861, when the 7th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry mustered int

o federal service at Camp Denison, Ohio for the Civil War. However, the tradition of Citizen-Soldiers and the Army National Guard goes back to 1788 in Ohio and 1636 in the United States. Today, HHC's Citizen-Soldiers still stand ready to deploy when called to execute their federal, state, and community missions.
