Please avoid Mitchell Road and the area of Mitchell Road at Hudson Road. Multiple police and fire units are responding to an active garage fire. Please seek alternate routes so public safety personnel have room to do their job.

Our newest Patrol Officer, Officer Joshua Lampert, graduated from the MPTC Marlborough Academy last night. We were honored to be there to support him and this huge accomplishment!

Officer Lampert is starting his Field Training tomorrow so if you see him around town please be sure to welcome him to our amazing community!

More paving is coming your way tomorrow!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄

Tomorrow, Friday, October 23, 2026, the Town’s contractor, Massachusetts Broken Stone Company, is scheduled to pave Taylor Road and Evelyn Road starting around 9:00 AM. Work will begin on Taylor Road and take place between Adams Drive and No Name Road.

During paving, motorists should avoid the area, as detours will be in place. Residents will be able to access their driveways, but should anticipate delays while paving equipment is working in the vicinity of their homes.

Reminder of the roadwork happening today!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆

Today, Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Town’s contractor, Massachusetts Broken Stone Company, is scheduled to pave Taylor Road beginning around 8:30 AM. Work will be taking place between Adams Drive and No Name Road. Common Road will be paved at a later date.

From now until about 3pm, Great Road/117 in the area of Hudson Road will be down to one lane of travel due to continued construction. Please seek alternate routes during this time.

Please note this weekend the Collings Foundation is doing multiple reenactments so you may hear what sounds like gunshots and explosions.

As of 3:20pm, Boon Road at Randall Road is closed for at least the next 3 hours due to a tree down. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Normally we would say brace yourselves, winter is coming but instead we are saying…brace yourself more roadwork is coming.

Tomorrow, 10/9, is going to be a mess around town. If you can don’t go anywhere near Hudson Road at Great Road. That area of Hudson Road will be closed for paving. If you have to go near there expect heavy delays starting around 7am.

Additionally, the DPW has arranged for reclamation work on Taylor Road between Adams Road and No Name Road around 7 am. There will be detours but expect delays and traffic here as well.

There will be detail officers are on site at both locations assisting with traffic.

We understand that no one likes sitting in traffic (we don’t like it either) but unfortunately it’s going to happen around Stow tomorrow. Please be courteous to our traffic officers as they try and assist everyone.
