As one storm winds down, the Stow Department of Public Works is working closely with the Stow Police Department and the Stow Fire Department to prepare for what is forecasted to be the most significant storm of the season.
Current forecasts are calling for strong winds, heavy snowfall, and the potential for power outages. As we know all too well in New England, conditions can change quickly. Please plan ahead, check on neighbors, charge devices, and avoid unnecessary travel during the height of the storm. Stay safe and give our crews the space they need to keep roads clear.
Due to tomorrow's impending storm, there will be an on street parking ban in effect from 12pm on February 22nd through 7am on February 24th.
The heaviest snow is expected to start around 6pm tomorrow evening. If you do lose power, please contact Hudson Light and Power directly at (888) 404‑4573 to report the outage. Outage updates can also be found at https://gis.hudsonlight.com/mpoweroutagemap/
Additionally, if you lose power and are in need of a place to warm up, the police station lobby is available.
Town officials will continue to work with public safety officials to monitor situation, and we will put out more updates if/when needed.
Stay safe and warm everyone and be sure to give an extra big thank you to our DPW workers who will be working extra hard during this storm!
