The Stoughton Police Department would like to inform our families that starting this week the SPD will be following some of our school buses in the morning and afternoon to ensure vehicles are stopping when buses have their lights flashing and students are getting on or off the bus. It is illegal to pass a bus when it is stopped and its lights are flashing, per Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 90, Section 14. We thank all of our families and community members for following this law and helping to keep our students safe as they go to and from school.

To start the year, Superintendent Miller is visiting each school at morning drop-off to greet students as they arrive for the day. After visiting OMS and the Wilkins on the first day of school, Ms. Miller stopped by the South on Thursday and the Hansen on Friday. There are more visits scheduled for next week.

You can take your picture with the Stanley Cup! Jorge Alves, a 1997 Stoughton High graduate, is the Head Equipment Manager for the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes. Jorge is bringing the Stanley Cup to Stoughton High on Thursday, September 10 from 2:30-4:15pm. This event is free and no tickets are required.

The 2026 SHS Marching Band Family and Friends Show takes place this Saturday, September 5th at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Stoughton High. Doors will open at 2:30pm and the show will begin at 3pm. See the Marching Black Knights' first performance of their show "Sword in the Stone"!

After the show there will be a pizza party for everyone attending the show. Please come and support our award winning Marching Black Knights!
