A group of ten Mansfield Middle School students joined the presentation by Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas on Thursday at the Mansfield Public Library to hear about the topic of Voting Rights. Thanks to the district's intention for students to enjoy authentic learning experiences, and facilitated by Enrichment Teachers Jennifer McMunn and Louis Goffinet, these students interested in government were offered the opportunity to travel to meet the Secretary. State Senator Mae Flexer and State Representative Gregory Haddad also joined the presentation.

What an amazing start of school Mansfield Middle School had on Thursday and Friday! After spending a few hours in classrooms getting acquainted, the whole school came together to be part of the 2026-27 photo, then later participated in lots of wonderful activities including an obstacle course, a petting zoo, lawn games, and a Barbeque lunch outdoors. Mansfield Elementary School administrators and teachers welcomed families on Tuesday for a short "Meet 'n Greet", helping students locate their classrooms and meet teachers before opening day on Thursday. And thanks to the Mansfield Elementary School PTO, popsicles awaited them on the playground. On Monday, August 24 Mansfield Public Schools celebrated Convocation, welcoming the district's educators back for another great year. "Level Up. Teach Up." Following a breakfast, school staff and Board members joined together to celebrate milestones in service, for introduction to new faces, and to hear from the Paraprofessional of the Year and the Teacher of the Year.
