This just in, National 4-H Conference application has been EXTENDED through October 15th. Bringing hundreds of 4-H’ers to the nation’s capital each spring, the National 4-H Conference is the flagship youth development opportunity of USDA, hosted by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). By providing opportunities for young people between the ages of 15 and 19 to share their voices with the federal government, this nationally recognized event is developing the next generation of leaders.

The 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm is seeking an inspiring and entrepreneurial leader to guide this beloved 120-acre nonprofit farm and educational center into its next chapter.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a mission-driven organization that connects children and adults to agriculture, environmental education, science, and the natural world through hands-on learning and community engagement. The Executive Director will serve as Auerfarm's chief ambassador, fundraiser, and strategic leader while partnering with a dedicated staff and engaged Board to build on the organization's strong foundation

Current UConn 4-H members, ages 5-18 as of October 1, 2026, are invited to design a holiday card for UConn 4-H. One design will be used for a holiday card to be sent to 4-H supporters to express our gratitude and well wishes. The first-place winner will receive a prize package from UConn 4-H and will be credited on the card.

For four days, teens from all over the country come to D.C. to collaborate, connect, and cultivate a passion for expanding their minds and their world - Teens will immerse themselves in hands-on workshops, experiences, activities in their key programming track of AgriScience, Animal Science, Community Accelerators, Healthy Living (featuring soccer), or STEM to continue to find their spark.

Leaders left Connecticut with new ideas, stronger professional networks, and a shared commitment to helping young people become Beyond Ready for whatever opportunities lie ahead.
