National Police Week gives us the opportunity to recognize the men and women behind the badge here at the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.
Our deputies are more than law enforcement officers. They are neighbors, parents, coaches, mentors, friends, and members of the same communities they serve every day. They miss holidays with their families, answer calls in the middle of the night, run toward difficult situations, and carry responsibilities that most people never fully see.
The work is not always easy, and many days go unnoticed, but their dedication to keeping Buena Vista County safe never wavers. Whether responding to emergencies, helping someone through a difficult day, checking on a stranded motorist, or calming situations before they become something worse, our deputies continue to show professionalism, compassion, and commitment to this county.
This week, we want our deputies to know that their hard work and sacrifice truly matter and are deeply appreciated. We are proud of the way they serve Buena Vista County every single day.
We also remember the officers across our nation who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service and legacy will never be forgotten.
Please join us in thanking all law enforcement officers during National Police Week.
