Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations w/ HMFRO

📄Prerequisites: IS 100, IS 700, Training Authorization Letter (TAL)

🟢March: 3/9, 3/11, 3/14, 3/16, 3/21, 3/23, 3/25, 3/30
🟢April: 4/1, 4/6, 4/8, 4/13, 4/15, 4/20, 4/25

The NYS Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations (BEFO) course is designed to prepare entry-level department members to respond to emergencies as exterior firefighters.

We hope everyone enjoyed Santa's visit today. Santa, the grinch and elves had a busy time visiting with girls and boys. Getting pictures taken and handing out presents. The smiles of happy children make it all worthwhile. Many thanks to those that support the Fire Company with donations, support our food booth during Tuesday nights concerts in the park, Mountain days, and our annual car show in September. We very much appreciate you! Merry Christmas.

CONGRATULATIONS! Stony Creek Volunteer Fire Co came in SECOND PLACE at The light up the Night event in Lake George. Many thanks to those who helped decorate the trucks and walked in the parade giving out candy to all. Merry Christmas!

To every firefighter, police officer, EMT, paramedic, 911 dispatcher, and all those who answer the call, you are the calm in the chaos, the help in the darkest moment, and the backbone of our community.

Your dedication, bravery, and selflessness do not go unnoticed. Thank you for making countless sacrifices to keep us safe. We are eternally grateful for your service.

📄Prerequisites: BEFO, Training Authorization Letter (TAL)

Course Dates:
🟢October: 10/23, 10/27, 10/29, 11/1

This course provides hands-on training in motor vehicle rescue and extrication techniques while stressing the need for scene safety and stabilization. It includes rescue theory, rescue life cycle, new technology in automotive design and rescue tools and their uses.
