Lanfear Road.
Ok all set. Use some caution gonna be a race track, shoulders are low. Lanfear is a narrow road 21 feet, I would of loved to gain a couple of feet just not feasible $$.
Being a narrow road with low shoulders if a tire Catches a corner it'll be a ride. Signs are up.
We will be doing shoulders in a couple weeks.
Total Cost $150k...this consist of a 2 inch of overlay at 1.5 miles. Shoulders will be another $20k.

Once again made it through winter. Seems like yesterday posted same video.
Trucks are all undressed, clean, fluid filmed (rust protection) and ready to work.
Plans are to continue to pick up debris from winter this week and to grade up some of the dirt roads some this week, top dress only due to ditches being wet.
As of now we are scheduled to pave May 4th and 5th over the existing black top (on Lanfear) that we put down last year. The projected cost will be estimated 170k.
To date are fully caught up on (major) repairs except for our continued problems with a our 08 ford f450. Talks are on going to replace this as well. I have presented a option to the board to replace this truck with one payment with zero intrest. Talks are on going.
This truck is one of two smaller trucks that plow and sand the dirt roads untill our main trucks get to them. We have a pretty good system and would like to keep thing exactly as they are. Just plain safer and faster than just using tandems. I can assure taxpayers this is needed repair cost with our labor is not cost effective. Our roads are suffering.
This year we are getting back to basics as equipment will allow.
There are bridges in desperate need of attention as well as ditching and much needed brush work in areas.
The guys have started 10 hour days and will be all business as of Monday.
And a big THANK YOU TO 1000 ACRES RANCH FOR THE MANURE! This is such a saving to us. We compost and turn into top soil, a very scarce product here in town. Same soil was used on our new town signs that brightens up our small town.
John O'Neil and myself have been discussing ideas on to help brighten up the four corners. I have presented many ideas to help overwhelm John. I will help in any aspect to help him achieve. I hope we can really spruce up creek center, as like the signs. Talks as well with John in regards to reconfigurating and fixing up the recycling center.
On a personal note: It has been an absolute pleasure working with the new board. I will do my absolute best to continue this relationship.

Might be slippery in spots the am, most trucks are being worked on. I'm sure most accumulation will be in the grassy areas and or cold spots. We will have something to plow with if necessary but might be a bit slow getting it cleaned up of anything significant.

Raking dirts roads. Looks like the frost is going out nice and slow. Roads are fairing actually better than expected.

Just looking to get the word out on trapping. We hire a guy to trap our culverts on our town roads. I guess our contractor's traps are being pulled.( A reminder that it is illegal to pull someone's traps.)
These particular traps were on Wolf pond road. (These traps were tagged with his info.) These traps not expensive but they are sentimental to this person, they were Jonny Thorpe's ( for those that know, know).
If everyone would pass the word that would be of some help.
The beaver can do a tremendous amount of damage to the roads and have cost us a lot throughout the years. This is a necessity.
I am aware of the sensitivity with some on this issue. We do everything possible to avoid even messing with them, if at all possible.
