The Setauket School first graders gave a spectacular performance of Going Buggy! 🐞🐝🦋

Under the direction of their dedicated teachers, Mrs. Peck, Mr. DaVanzo, Mr. Dragotta, and Mrs. Pantelidis, our talented students took the stage with confidence, enthusiasm, and plenty of bug-tastic energy. Their hard work and creativity shined through in every song, line, and dance move, delighting families and staff alike.

We are so proud of our first graders for an unforgettable performance and thank our teachers for helping make this special experience possible!

Ward Melville High School’s PTSA recently sponsored a “Chalk the Walk” event, inviting families to decorate sections of sidewalk in honor of graduating seniors.

Families filled the walkways with colorful chalk messages, artwork, and words of encouragement, creating a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to the Class of 2026.

Thank you to the PTSA for organizing this meaningful tradition and to all the families who helped celebrate our seniors.

Sixth grade students recently had the opportunity to learn about e-bike safety during a special visit from Dr. Jenelys Fernandez-Torres and Dr. Valjean Bacot-Davis of Pediatrics at Stony Brook University.
During the presentation, students explored important safety guidelines, including the proper fit of helmets and the importance of following posted speed limits on e-bikes. Students also learned about the laws surrounding e-bike use and the responsibilities that come with riding.
“Just because you can purchase an ebike does not mean that you are legally allowed to ride it,” shared teacher Kerry Diana, reinforcing the importance of understanding regulations designed to keep riders safe.
Presenters emphasized that safety parameters are in place for a reason, helping to protect riders and those around them. Students were actively engaged and had the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session.
Thank you to teachers Kerry Diana and Stephanie Turano for making this informative and important learning experience possible in their classrooms.

Nassakeag Elementary School recently hosted a special breakfast to celebrate students who have stood out as role models throughout the school year.

Students in grades 3–5 were nominated by their classmates for consistently demonstrating the CARES characteristics, Compassionate, Accepting, Respectful, Embracing, and Successful. Each honoree was presented with a certificate and a framed photo, accompanied by a heartfelt message written by their peers highlighting their positive impact.

Because these recognitions came directly from fellow students, the celebration held even greater meaning, reflecting a school community built on kindness, respect, and appreciation for one another.
Congratulations to all of the outstanding role models!
