🎁💙 Wrapped with Love: Father's Day Gift Making 💙🎁

Attention Children & Teens!

Looking for the perfect Father's Day gift? Join us on Friday, June 19th, and create a special handmade craft for your father, grandfather, or another important person in your life!

Stop by the library anytime between:
🕘 9:00 AM – Noon
🕐 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

We'll provide all the supplies needed to make a thoughtful gift that you'll take home wrapped and ready to give just in time for Father's Day!

📞 Registration is required so we can ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Please contact the library by Tuesday, June 23rd, to sign up. The library's phone number is 217-325-3512, or you can just stop in during normal business hours and register in person.

The Stonington Township Library will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, as we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in our country's military. ❤️🤍💙
We appreciate and pay tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🕊️✨
Note: The library will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th, at 1 PM for normal business hours.

📖 It may had been a rainy 🌧 day outside today, but we had a very sunny 🌞 atmosphere in our library. We had a wonderful group join in our monthly Story Time. In addition to our Story Time together, the children enjoyed engaging in a fun paint craft. 🎨

Thanks to everyone who braved the rain to spend time at our library. 📚

📚☀️ Summer is almost here, and we’ve been hard at work preparing for this year’s Summer Reading Program!

As many of you know, a lot of planning and creativity happens behind the scenes long before the program officially begins — including designing and creating our colorful Summer Reading displays.

This year, we’re inviting our young patrons to join in the fun! 🎨✂️

We are excited to announce our Great Day of Decorating on Thursday, June 11th! Children ages 5 through teens are invited to help us decorate displays and work on fun craft related projects that will brighten up the library for summer.

Here’s how to participate:
✅ Contact the library to sign up so we can make sure we have enough projects for everyone.
✅ Stop by on June 11th anytime between 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
✅ Stay as long as you’d like during that time frame while helping us create something beautiful!

We truly appreciate all the children who volunteer their creativity and time to help make our Summer Reading Program extra special. Be sure to sign up soon and share this post to help spread the word. 🌟
